I found the CCNA course by Jeremy Cioara on CBT really good. Do NOT rely solely on that course for taking your exam. It does not cover everything you should know to pass for the exam. I learned this the hard way. So use at least one more resource to study, like the cert guide from Cisco Press or Lammle's CCNA book (I used Lammle myself after failing the first time and it had a lot more detail than the CBT nuggets course.) Also, you'll probably get more useful answers if you post this on. They are completely separate certifications. Some people think it's useful to do first and some people don't.
I tend to fall into the category that believes it's a useless certification IF you're going to go on to do the CCNA. Also if you're thinking about starting any of these courses, think about it like you would an investment in the stock market. A yearlong subscription to CBT Nuggets is $1,000 and is actually much longer than it should really take for you to finish studying, a couple of books are going to run you $50-75 and the actually test is $325 for the combined. For arguments sake, we'll even say you fail the first time and pass the second so in total your certification cost is $1,700. If you then actually get a job in networking and put that certification to use, you're likely looking at a minimum salary of $35-40k right out of the gate and then it goes up dramatically with a few years of experience.
If I were to put a price tag on someone having a CCNA vs not having a CCNA they're probably looking at $5,000 more per year on their salary. So for an investment of $1,700 you're making a return of 290% in the first year alone.
Any money manager that promises you returns like that is straight up lying to you.
I wonder if cbtnugget is doing this on purpose! They give a chance to everyone to download their products for free (60mn + video recorder software). It's reminds me a great mobile brand Pokia was producing simlocked mobiles that we can for sure unlock. New model, hocus pocus = two weeks later an unlocking solution appears! That's why everyone was buying Pokia mobiles because it was easy to unlock! It seems little bit crazy, but it's a fact!
Thanks to all for sharing, Edited by technopole, 27 August 2010 - 06:46 PM. Friends what is the motive behind uploading something without providing any password. The point is that we are wasting our time and disk space by downloading such materials at the very first place. Once again would like to request the uploader to kindly provide us with the password for CBT Route for rapidshare download inorder to unrar the files. Please bro do this favour to us. Or you could just download the torrent that was posted above and have the file in your hands in minutes.
I don't have a demonoid account and was able to download it fine. I think you just need the account to get the torrent file, which is already provided above. Do not post useless 'Thank You's in the share subforums @ Use the 'Thanks' button to see the hidden contents in the share section as shown in the announcements WARNING: Strict action will be taken against members posting Thank yous(tnx, great, gr8, 10x, +1), unnecessary quotes, posts with gibberish words and smileys without any comments. 1st Warning will lead to 4hrs disabled posting, 2nd will lead to 12 hrs, 3rd & 4th might lead to 1, 3 or 7 days of disabled posting. Please note further, that ignoring this hint will lead into more restrictive actions. CBT Nuggets-Cisco 642-902 CCNP ROUTE Description:Cisco’s approach to its ROUTE exam is entirely real-world, and Jeremy's video series really prepares you for the exam with labs, all written in GNS3 (an open-source Cisco emulator).
By the time you're done watching you'll be ready to Configure EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP at a master level; grasp the big-picture of worldwide Cisco network design; fill in plenty of “knowledge gaps” left by the CCNA on routing protocols; and confidently sit for the exam.
